Random Thoughts ....

So this is a random post but i LOVE both these pictures! First off, Oakley is getting so BIG!!! and second, Myka is also getting so BIG!!! Tad took this funny picture of Oakley in his Oakley sunglasses and i think it make her looks so cute! She has really grown on us, we are head over heels in love! So Courtnie went back to work one day a week after having Myka, between four of us we each get her one Monday a month! Lets just say i look forward to every second Monday! She is hilarious, has the spunkiest personality and best of all ... the child NEVER cries, thats not a joke. I took this picture last week after breakfast, before the bath, and ... right before she peed on me! (is that how you spell peed, i have no idea but that doesn't look right?) Anyway, i love both these babies, they are both growing so fast!

Only FOUR months to go ......

I am really bored tonight, can you tell ...? I already posted something about Oakley below so now i thought i would talk about something other than our dog. MY WEDDING! It kind of creeped up on me and now its crunch time! Its crazy how fast our engagement has gone, I really cant believe it has already been six months and now we only have four or so more to go!!! I have done a few things ... we have our venue, the photographer, the cake, the florist, and our ever so talented friend Jamie works for Busath and designed our invitations, but thats it! Any suggestions anyone would like to share ...?? I really need to find a DJ or a band so any suggestions would be GREAT! Oh yes ... and I have my dress! 

Puppies are like Babies ... they grow quickly!

Just like babies .... puppies grow fast too! She has seriously grown so much in the two weeks we have had her, it makes me sad! Tad keeps saying that we need to take pictures of her each week, to me thats a little extreme, but i guess you can say he is proud father! So in my first post about Oakley i said ask me in two weeks if I'd regret this, once she had chewed a few things ... she hasn't yet and i love her more now than i did than! She actually has been pretty good, she is learning to like her kennel and only a few accidents in the house, but she is learning and ... she starts puppy kindergarten in two weeks!!!

If i promise not to say anything negative, will you please make it possible for people to leave comments on your blog .....? So, because i cant leave comments i have a few requests!!! First, can you please help me get the Christmas music off my blog ... I can't figure out how to do it! I don't care what song you put on there just change the songs around, THANK YOU! Second, who are those random people on your blog? Tad and I were wondering ....? Last but not least, i am going to need you to either go get your measurements taken or take them yourselves. I have a meeting with the dress maker and i will need to get those to her, assuming you won't be back until the wedding? If it makes it easier for you I can meet with her first and get the measurements she will need, then i can get those to you. Let me know what you prefer .... Hope everything is going well! Tell the kiddos hi and that we miss them and that Oakley is anxiously awaiting their arrival!! Love ya!

Oakley makes THREE ......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAD!!! So this year for Tad's birthday i had a crazy idea to surprise Tad with a PUPPY! Yes i know .... you all think I'm crazy, and maybe i will agree, but ask me that in a few weeks ... two chewed shoes later! But Tad and i have decided that this dog will NOT chew, wishful thinking i know! So the details to this fairy tale are short and sweet ... Tad has wanted a dog now for what seems like forever, he and i have both grown up with them but have yet to have our own! So last week i came up with the idea, Ryan went with me on a whim to look at the puppies ... ten minutes later ... i had bought one! She spent the weekend hiding out at the Burt's and Ryan's house, made friends with Zoe, Kita, and Nixen ... Wednesday night we got everyone together for dinner and birthday cake ... then the most exciting news of the night, Tad had a little surprise waiting for him on the front porch with a big red bow!!! Guesses anyone ...? an eight week old golden retriever! i hope you all think she is as cute as we do, and we gladly accept babysitters ...

Happy Holidays and New Year!

Happy New Year ... Merry Christmas ... Happy Thanksgiving ... where does the time go?! So, maybe i haven't been the best about updating but lets just use the excuse that .... LIFE IS CRAZY!!! i posted several pictures from the holidays to catch you up! i have to admit along with all the hustle and bustle, we had a fabulous holiday! In the last few weeks we celebrated Thanksgiving at Tommy and Carlee's old house ... moved them to their new house ... on Christmas Day ... attended one too many Christmas parties ... checked my Dad into the hospital when his kidneys decided to fail ... he is doing much better now, home and healthy ... battled the madness at the malls ... celebrated Christmas Day ... went to St. George with the Cannon crew ... got sick ... still am sick ... back to work ... and preparing for the up and coming NEW YEAR! We hope you all had a healthy and happy Holiday and we wish you a very Happy New Year!!!

Thanksgiving Day!!

GO UTES .... and thank heaven for Primary Childrens

An unforgettable Utah game! .... and for all those parents out there, you are so LUCKY to have Primary Children's so close to home. On Saturday my Dad and brothers went to the game so Carlee, the kids and I went over to a friends house for our own little tailgate party! Five minutes into halftime the kids were running around having fun when Kate went head first into the corner of the kitchen cabinet. It seriously sounded like someone threw a dumbell at the wall, thats how loud it was. By the time Carlee picked her up, i grabbed the car keys, threw her in her car seat, she had soaked through two towels full of blood .... poor baby. She was so scared and you feel so helpless. Although a dramatic car ride, we headed straight to Primary's and thankfully they got us right in. They are so amazing up there, after they applied a numbing agent a child specialist came in with a doll to show Kate what the doctors were going to do to her injury, it really makes the kids a little less scared ... well at least until they start. The doc's came in and explained the process, a local anaesthesia would sedate her enough to get the stitches in. They did however inform us that 1 in 100 cases, a child can react opposite to the anaesthesia .... well, enough said. Our little Katie was that 1 in 100. The only other option was to completely put her under through an IV. A Lane trait (my mom's side of the family) Kate along with the rest of us, has rolly veins. After 4 IV attempts and an extremely unhappy child .... she was out .... but not for long. She is such a fighter, she wanted nothing to do with sedatives. Four hours later, something that looked like a straight jacket (to hold her down), a strong mommy, an emotional aunt (i'm never having children), 10 million "hold you" (Kate's way of telling you to hold her), a queezy daddy (who came after the game and HATES blood), two layers of stitches, totaling 12 all together, our little baby was ready to go home!!!

my little baby before my nightmare began. ya know, they say the anesthia will make HER forget everything ... well i sure won't forgot, where was my anesthia? that was the worst thing to see her scared and in pain, i would trade her places in a second so she wouldn't have to experience that EVER again
